Dear Pre-K Families,
We can’t believe this is our last newsletter! This year has flown by so quickly! We hope your preschool experience was positive for both you and your child. It has been amazing for us and a pleasure getting to know both your child and your family! We consider our pre-kindergarten a large extended family and have certainly enjoyed being a part of your lives and watching your children grow! It will be hard to say goodbye to all of you, but we are truly excited for their new adventure in kindergarten! We wish you all the best next year! Your children have learned so much and are more than ready! Please remember to continue to read, write and count over the summer so that the transition to kindergarten is a smooth one!
Field day was quite fun and successful! Everyone seemed to love picking out books, getting their faces painted and participating in games and relays! A special thank you goes out to Mrs. Rainey, and Mr. and Mrs. Monahan for spending the day with us and helping us with all the different activities. We also want to thank Mrs. Zeiger for taking all the tie dye shirts home to wash and Mrs. Frink for making them even more special by personalizing them. The children loved their shirts and were so proud to wear them, (not to mention how adorable they all looked!)
We see your children have been busy doing chores at home! We have a large bag of food to donate to the local soup kitchen. Your children were very excited and proud to share all the different ways they have been helping! It is so nice to see children participate in a community service project at such a young age! It’s beneficial to everyone involved. Thanks for all of your help encouraging your children at home and for the generous donations!
Wednesday, June 27th will be our last day of school. For the next few days we will be cleaning up our room, and enjoying some special activities, books and snacks together. Please be sure to go through your son or daughter’s backpack at the end of each day. There will be some treasures to look at and keep. Report cards will also be sent home on Wednesday, the last day of school.
Once again, it has truly been a pleasure teaching your children. We wish you all a terrific summer. Don’t forget to continue to read, explore, discuss, play, and create. Visit the library, a museum, go letter boxing and/or hiking. Enjoy and observe nature using all your senses. I would love to hear about your exciting summer adventures, so feel free to email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org. I don’t always check my email everyday; however I will eventually get back to you. Again, thank you for sharing your children with us!
