Kindergarten – Mrs. Jessica Allaire
“Most of what I really need to know about how to live
And what to do and how to be
I learned in kindergarten.
Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain,
But there in the sandbox at school.” – Robert Fulghum
Hello, I’m Mrs. Allaire and I’d like to welcome you to Kindergarten! I’m excited to be in our primary wing with these young learners. This will be my seventh year at SES. At Eastern Connecticut State University, I studied Early Childhood Education and Sociology. I, also, attended Quinnipiac University to further my education, earning a Masters of Science in Teacher Leadership with a concentration on Literacy. I love teaching in early childhood classrooms because I get to witness so many amazing milestones and achievements as these children grow each day. I am ready for an awesome adventure with our kindergarteners!
This year is going to be full of exploration and we will create many memories. In our kindergarten classroom, children will take an active role in their educations through sharing, questioning, discovering, and playing! Kindergarten is a year for immense growth. We will work together to meet objectives in all content areas and develop foundational skills. Our kindergarten curriculum includes math, literacy, science, social studies, and social-emotional materials. My ultimate goal is to create a positive and warm environment where students can build skills that they will carry with them throughout their entire educational journey. I encourage and invite families to become partners with me in their child’s education through communication and volunteer opportunities. Please feel free to email me with any comments or questions at jallaire@scotlandes.org. Also, explore the tabs on the Kindergarten page to learn more about the program and our classroom. I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends in our upcoming school year!
