A Little About Me:

Hi thanks for checking out my web page. I have had the pleasure of being a teacher for 33 years.  I began my career working for EASTCONN and traveled around the Northeast part of CT teaching adapted PE in schools where EASTCONN had classrooms.  I continue to be employed by them and teach adapted PE in their autism program in Columbia.

My heart belongs to the children here at Scotland School!! It’s hard to believe I have taught PE here for 18 years already and health for 4!  You know the saying time flies when you’re having fun, well that is how I feel working here.  Being a specialist teacher, where I can personally watch each child grow all the way from Preschool to 6th grade, is just the best.  Days I work here are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

A few of things you may not know about me are that I have been a volunteer with the Windham Special Olympics team for 31 years. In 1987 I was chosen to co-coach the CT Special Olympic soccer team that competed in the International Special Olympics Summer Games at Notre Dame University in South Bend Indiana.  I love the sport of field hockey and was the Head Field Hockey coach at Windham High School for 23 years.  I have been fortunate to be the recipient of a couple of honors.  In the spring of 2012 the NECASA organization selected me to receive the Judith Nilan award for my efforts in working with children in drug prevention.  In the summer of 2012 I was inducted into the Willimantic Women’s Softball Association’s hall of fame.  My favorite hobbies are gardening, watching college basketball and playing with my 6 cats.

Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns! My door is always open to you!!!
