E-mail for Friends of SES: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks to all of the parents who are here from last year and to all the new parents who have signed up to receive communications from Friends of SES!
We are working to find a meeting date soon to determine our plans for this year.
-Is there anything that you would like to see FoSES work on, support or create for this year? We always welcome new ideas!
-Is there a better day/time for meetings?
-We will put together a survey and get that out to you soon.
1- Buttoning up our landscape project from the end of last school year before the snow flies. Can you help with this? A few minutes, or a few hours here and there would be amazing. Please contact Wendy Sears if you can help and she will share the plan/vision for the frontscape of the school and ways you can share in making a difference.
2-BOOK FAIR: Scotland elementary receives a percentage of all fair sales, which it can take in cash or spend on books or other supplies. With that said, volunteers are needed to help make our book fair successful.
What do we need?
-Help with setup, getting the book fair setup and ready for the kids
-Help each day when classes come in to purchase or view books (usually it is a mad rush all at one time)
-Cleanup at the end of the day to set up for the next day’s fair.
-At completion of the book fair, all items need to be packed up and the library put back together.

3) Grandparents/Special Relative Luncheon– This is an annual event, which is scheduled this year for Friday October 26. Details will be coming home with the kids… We always need help with small things like:
~greeting families as they arrive and thanking them for coming
~giving out name tags and signing people in (and checking them out when they leave
~helping with cleanup & setup
Please reply to this email with your name and contact phone number if you can help with this special luncheon.
4) Parent/Teacher Conferences November 8 & 9– For the long day (November 8) that Teachers are at school for P/T Conferences, we ask parents to bring in a dish or dessert for our hardworking teachers, and we decorate the Teachers Lounge to show our love.
If you are able to support this effort, either with a dish, a dessert, drinks, decorations or setup or cleanup, please let us know! You can simply reply to this email with how you wish to help, and we will reach out to you prior to conferences to confirm.
5) Trunk or Treat & Movie Night Friday October 26 at 5:30 pm at Parish Hill Middle/HS–
The PHACT-PTA will be having a Trunk or Treat in the circle in front of the school for the elementary school students from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm and the Middle School Council will be presenting the new Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation Halloween movie at 6:00 PM. The Middle School Council will be selling pizza slices soda, and water at $1 each and there is no charge for the movie.
If you plan to decorate your vehicle and offer a “Trunk with Treats”, please arrive by 5 pm to set up. Friends of SES usually has several trunks there… It is a lot of fun and the kids really enjoy this multi-town event!
